Hey y'all...4692, refurb, with tilted framelines (anybody had that fixed ever?)...no other problems, ˜8000 clicks (case anyone is doing some batch analysis). Carry it every day, super cool.

I know, that's where it should be. So why is mine without number?

No Number?
No Number?
Your's should have serial number on the hot shoe. Odd?
Has the shoe been replaced? Sometimes the number is hard to see. I am wondering what is going on with this camera. Does anyone have any idea? Can we possibly see a photo of the hotshoe?

Here it is. I don't know about the history of this camera, except it has just been serviced by Steve's. Maybe Robin knows more?
Can't there be a resizing feature added to this attachment routine? drives me nuts!

Thank you
Thank you
Thank you - your R-D1 does not have a number. Hmmmmm... I think someone probably replaced the hotshoe. I guess I record your camera into the registery as Mr. No Number.
Thanks,

you might check your paperwork from Steve's. they usually put a serial number (identifier) so if it's anywhere else on the body, perhaps he found it....

Thank you for registering your R-D1 cameras. And please keep the serial numbers coming!
I have 48 R-D1 and 24 R-D1s cameras on the registery so far. R-D1 serial numbers range from 000419 to 005071 with one camera missing a serial number. Still haven't figured that one out.
Serial number of the R-D1s cameras range from 100383 to 103330 with the latest sale of a new camera being recorded in August 2008. Apparently a Tokyo camera store still has a good stock on new R-D1s bodies hidden away! Guessing though!
Thanks,
Jim Headley
