bought used in Tokyo on June 30, 2009. seems the original owner bought it from the same store new in Nov 2008.

It seems the highest RD1 serial number is ~+5500; RD1s also ~+3500. Epson originally announced only 10,000 units would be produced, might the RD1x be the third batch fulfilling the contract with Cosina? 😉

Guys is this thread not giving a huge amount of fuel for scammers on evilbay?
Often adverts there will conceal at least part of the serial number...
