Hi,

I am preparing myself to start Black and White film developing, I bought Ilford ID-11 developer, and Ilford fixer, but I don't have developing tank and 35/120mm reel..

Where should I search to find a good one, which brand, material, etc..

thanx,
Stevco.

Definitely get Hewes reels - do not get the cheap ones. I did at first and it was a nightmare. The Hewes ones are perfect and never failed me once (so far). I'm using a cheap tank with them and it works ok (some leaks though).

the Paterson tanks are what I use now and once threaded they are easy to load and there is less finger contact with the emulsion. I have used both stainless and Paterson so it does become a personal choice, but starting out, the Paterson is an excellent system to get you going.

I've been a Paterson user since the late 70's and do love them...
Whatever you chose (metal or plastic) don't be afraid to pay for the best that you can afford...it will pay off in the end...
