Need help deciding!!!

I remember reading that there were collapsible lenses made for the FED 2 as the regular ones would jam or something…

I think it's the I-10 that works properly on the 2?

All the collapsibles made by FED for the FED-2 were I-10. However FED issued a modified variant for the FED-2, which eliminated the spring loaded pin lock tab with a simple notched clip tab. Aside from this, there were also some changes, like using standardised 28.8mm registers and a more Leitz focus camming.

I want a compact camera like that, and I'm trying to find a Zorki that is compact like the fed too and don't have slow shutter speeds.

Consider the Zorki-6, it is IMHO the most compact and easiest to handle of the series. The Fed-3 is not bad either. I personally don't like the Zorki-4 since I use glasses and can't see the whole frame at once.

Thanks; that's very interesting. Are these the two types of lock?

Not the best picture I've taken but the only one available now.

David, those are the two lock types for the FED I-10. The left is the newer one which can be used for FED-2, as well as for adapting to other cameras like the M3 (the old lock pin can jam on the adapter) by virtue of it correct register. The other on the right is the one which should not be used on the FED-2.

Thanks; I'd often wondered about the one on the left but it was sold a while ago. However, I do like to tidy up loose ends...

Oddly enough it's the only one I've used on the M2.

Where can I buy a fed 2 other then ebay and fedka just wondering.

Ukraine? Russia? You did say "where" :D

Ebay, through the reputable sellers, is still the best place to get FED-2. Best, only because you can find the stuff you want without going to the places where they may be found. And you find them now, instead of visiting that old camera store/pawnshop/goodwill every 2 days or so in the hope of finding one there.
