I installed the Epson Raw Plug-In into CS3 but the ERF files always open in Camera Raw. I used the 1.21 version of the plug-in from Rich Cutler's site and have tried it in the following folder locations:
Adobe Photoshop CS3 > Plug-Ins
Adobe Photoshop CS3 > Plug-Ins > File Formats
Common Files > Adobe > Plug-Ins > CS3 > File Formats
Following advice from previous posts, to open the ERF file, I am using the open dialog with Epson Raw Plug-In chosen as the file type but ACR still grabs the file.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Adobe Photoshop CS3 > Plug-Ins
Adobe Photoshop CS3 > Plug-Ins > File Formats
Common Files > Adobe > Plug-Ins > CS3 > File Formats

When you Open a file, there's a Format chooser at the bottom left of the window. This may already have Photoshop Raw selected. Change this to Epson RAW Plug-In.
Hope that does the trick.

I am not sure this will help but I only open .erf files from Epson raw itself. I do not believe Epson raw is adecuate to visualize files as the window is to small. It is great to process them but I do a batch when I download them from the SD card then do not use Epson raw to look at them.

Nick,
I am already choosing the Epson RAW format with no luck.
Are you using CS3 and in which folder did you install the plug-in?

I have a similar problem. I've installed the Epson Raw plug-in, but it doesn't show up in the format chooser list in the "Open" window. I've tried put the plug-in everywhere I could think of, but when I launched PS the Epson Raw simply wasn't there.
Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

Did you upgrade to Camera raw plugin v. 4.4.1 folks?
Causes no compability problems with Epson raw plugin v. 2.1.1. in CS2 for Mac at least.
Edit: Sorry i meant Epson raw plugin *v. 1.2.1*

I cannot find Epson raw plugin v.2.1.1. in the Epson supports sites I have checked.
The latest plug-in I see is 1.21, which appears to be for Mac PPC, rather than for Mac intel.
Any guidance?

Thanks for clarifying. I find the Epson sites confusing, so I thought it possible I missed something.

I believe the Epson Plugin is not compatible with Photoshop CS3.

Hi!
I have CS 2 (iMac G5). My Epson RAW plugin sits here: library/application support/adobe/plug-ins/cs2/file formats/epson/epson raw plug-in.
Hope, this could help!

Thanks Zetablues, but the G5 is still a Power PC, I think. The problem is with the Mac-Intel machines
