I have not used these lenses on the RD-1, but have recently done a comparison on Kodak 100uc print film. I have not scanned any of the negs, unfortunately.
Both lenses render pleasing results, but the 25/4 Skopar wins hands-down with regard to resolution (not too surprising given the age of the Canon). The Skopar photos are also more contrasty. Lastly, the Canon exhibits significant vignetting/darkening in the corners at wider aperatures (say, below f8), while the Skopar shows only minor vignetting wide open, and I did not see any at 5.6and smaller aperatures. As mentioned by another poster, the Canon is harder to focus than the Skopar because the lens is really short (lens mount to lens bezel), but I do not find it to be too difficult though.
