need to make a choice: collapsible summicron or canon 1.8 ltm

Choices must be made, or so i am told, and i respect this site's contributors enormously. Do i bring the collapsible summicron or canon 1.8 ltm 50mm on a trip where space is at a premium?

If you’re shooting BW, Summicron gets my vote. I go back to it over and over despite having way too many 50s

both nice. collapsible summicron is one of my all time lenses, though. so, ya know...

They're both good. Since you have both and are no doubt familiar with them, take the one you prefer for
- the type of subjects you anticipate photographing; and
- the way it handles.

If it was me I'd go for the 'cron for mostly people pictures and the Canon for mostly scenics. But that's my personal preference, not yours.
