Negatives low in FED 2

Hey hey

in my FED 2 my negatives come out with a bit of image overlapping the sprockets. I have attached a picture of how the film sits in the camera. The film is aligned correctly with the teeth on the reel. is there a way to adjust the position of this reel to hold the film centered to not get the sprocket overlap?

Welcome to the forum, Tubems! I don't have an answer for you, but I do have a similar problem with my Fed-3.

hmm, interesting that yours does as well. i have seen another FED 2 that does it as well. unless somone with more technical know how can say what to do it might just be chalked up to the "character" of the camera and just be a defect that is what it is.

knowing full well how inexpensive bodies are i guess if it bothers me enough i can always pick up a new body...but am curious what someone might come up with...

I didn't fix it, I left it as is.

Frame things a bit looser.

For what its worth, lots of HCB's photos show this too. He didn't seem too bothered by it.
