Neofin Blau - stupid dilution question

Some time ago a friend gave me a small package containing a few small bottles of (Tetenal) Neofin Blau. The box contains some handy instructions about developing times, but... doesn't mention a word about dilution. I searched the web (including this site) and only found confusing info about "mixing part A with part C". The thing is, there's no parts A and C in my box, just bottles of One-Shot Blau with 300-700ml on them. Obviously there's quite a difference between 300 and 700ml, so I'm still confused - how do I dilute? 😕

Hi, it is a long time ago, but i seem to remember to make from 1 little bottle 600mL to fit my jobo tank, you can make up to 700mL i think.

hope this helps, been 30-35 years ago.

I would not muck about with old and probably spoiled outdated developer.

Anything you might learn would not be applicable with a new bottle if you can still find it.

Recycle the glass bottle for other use in the darkroom and recycle the instructions and save a tree. Dilute developer and down the drain .

Each glass phial contains 30ml of concentrate which you pour into a container and then add water to make 500ml of 'normal' working strength solution. Use the times in the supplied developing tables.

I say normal dilution which is in bold type in the instructions on page 10, because you can add water to make just 300ml if you want shorter developing times by which you multiply the developing time for your film by x0.6 or you can add water to make 700ml and multiply the developing time by x1.3 if you require longer times.

Always add the full contents of each phial when making up your working strength developer and stick with the normal 500ml to keep it simple. I hope that helps you.
Neofin Blue works well with slow films in the ISO 25 to 50 speed groups which are already extremely fine-grained.
