Hello! I'm sorry for my first post being a question, but I'm unsure what to do in this current situation.

How long should I be developing NP1600 (shot at 1600) in undiluted Microphen for at 20deg C? I've heard a few different answers so it would be nice to get a solid response! How about if I was to shoot the film at 1250 or 800?

Thank you!

Fuji pdf says 3min15sec for 1600 at 20degC.

I have used Microphen diluted 1+1 for 5 min and it was ok. I did expose a bit more generously than the meter indicated because I wanted some shadow detail and Neopan 1600 gets contrasty easily.

The times seem short. This film develops quite fast, and is easy to overdo.

thanks! so would you recommend diluting to 1:1 instead of stock? and also, does the film require a pre-soak before developing for 3min 15sec?

It's probably a good idea to do a pre-soak in water with such a short dev time.

I can't say that 1+1 is better/worse than stock in terms of results. It seemed a good idea at the time to control contrast. I had used the film in a contrasty situation, and wanted to minimize the risk of excess contrast.
