Neopan 1600 in Perceptol

Does anyone have a starting time and EI for Neopan 1600 in Perceptol? I can't find any info on this combination.

Stock solution? The Ilford pdf suggests 7:30 for ID-11 with Neopan 400 and 6:30 for Neopan 1600 (ie about 15% less for the 1600 - odd).

While they don't list a time for the Neopan 1600 with Perceptol, they do suggest 10:00 for the Neopan 400 with Perceptol. If the pattern holds true, I guess that means about 8:30 for the 1600. Good luck! Post your results!

Hi there,
i would shoot Neopan 1600 somewhere between 400 and 800ASA, as Perceptol will cost you at least about one stop in speed.
I develope my own with 1 part stock solution + 1 part water (i use it as a one shot developer) for about 7minutes 30 seconds at 22C with agitation every minute. Exact times may vary due to differences in quality of water, agitation, temperature stability, etc.

Thanks guys. Impatience got the better of me, and I shot a roll at ISO800, with some test shots from 400-1600. I developed in Perceptol 1+3 for 10 minutes at 20C, and the negs are looking very thin. Will scan and see, but I definitely needed more dev time at this dilution I think. I'm not sure whether the next thing is to extend my own time, or just to try Andreas's (much appreciated) times for 1+1.

Andreas, what do you think of this combo? Do you have any examples?

Nice test. I thought the ISO 500 captured the best balance between shadow and highlight detail.
Wonder if longer development times might have shifted that ideal ISO upwards ?

I've been wanting to try the 1600 in Perceptol, but will need to wait for leaves on the trees to give it a try. This will hopefully become my regular 'in the woods' combo. I was going to shoot at 400 and try Perceptol 1:1 for about 10 minutes to start.

wow, perceptol looks pretty nice. Ive been trying to settle on a good developer for the neo 1600, that had been on my list. Will give that one a try for sure.

My Neopan 400 test is looking somewhat better to the Neopan 1600 one, although of course I had a proper starting time for this...
