No, I don't think that's going to happen. It certainly didn't happen with Neopan 400 in 120 after it disappeared.
Luckily I managed to get almost 600 roll’s of Neopan 400 in 120 before it disappeared.
I ordered 100 roll’s from Unique just before they put there price up, once I received it I went back to buy more but it was all gone. All tolled with what I managed to get in Tokyo and Manila I have 200 roll’s in the freezer. Along with shoot the 120’s I might get 3 to 4 years before I’m out.

I have about 30 rolls of Neopan 400 in 120. I shoot 6X9 very slowly. That will probably last me a few years and by then I'll be ready to sell my 6X9 to concentrate on 35mm if I'm still shooting that.

When it was being discontinued in 100' rolls in Japan, I bit the bullet and ordered eight cans, while they were still available. That will last a bit.

Should this film vanish as expected, TriX or Neopan 400 in semi stand will give the same speed as Neopan 1600 agitated normally. You can bump up both films by 2/3 stops quite easily (shadow values). I found that Neopan 400 at 320 and Neopan 1600 at 500 gave roughly comparable shadow detail. At 640 I found the Neopan a hair thinner that the Neopan 400 at 320.
Its a shame, but there are work arounds.
I knew TriX responded really well to semi stand and pulled out a roll of film (I thought was triX) from a Leica which turned out to be Neopan 400 rated at 500 and gave the same increase in time for semi-stand as I would with TriX. The results were spot on with lots of juicy shadow detail and controlled highlights (unlike a regular push). Try it!

Signed as well - was just getting to know and to really like this film. Am rapidly becoming a big fan of the Fuji B&W emulsions the more I use them.

I hope you guys get somewhere with the petition, but suspect not. Economics dictate and petition is not really a premise for resurrecting a product that was no longer viable.
The only good news from this is that more Ilford and Kodak film will be bought and that will help shore up their film sales. The loss of Ilford would be crippling as they make two of the most popular papers in the world. Films aint a lot of use unless you can print it on quality paper! Thankfully they seem to be stable.

Love the film. It is gone. Get use to it.
If you want the film, then enter into some sort of financial agreement with Fuji so that they can produce it for you at an acceptable profit. They are not a photographic charity.

Well, duh! As some of us have said, we know it probably won't make a difference but it can't hurt.Love the film. It is gone. Get use to it.

Besides, Fuji discontinued original Velvia in favor of Velvia 100. People got upset and they brought back the original as Velvia 50. Not exactly the same scenario but it shows Fuji is willing to listen to their customers.

Photogdave,
I suspect this was people voting with their $ and Velvia 100 sales not making expectations leading to people dropping fuji for Kodak (i.e. Velvia 100 did not pick up lost velvia 50 sales).
Neopan 1600 has to be a minnows market. As you say, can't hurt, but seeing as it is an isolated product, seems a long shot. I can only imagine the beneficiaries will be TriX, D3200, Tmax 3200 and possibly a little more Neopan 400.

For anyone interested this company list Neopan 1600 in stock. I think they are in SanFrancisco. They list 39 on hand so better hurry!

I missed the sad news; haven't been around here for a month or two, and another one of my favorite films is going the way of APX100. The only hope is that Freestyle will buy a batch to re-brand, and we'll see a discussion whether or not it is exactly the same stuff or not.
I can see why 1600 is harder to sell, it has shorter shelf life and (unlike Tri-X or APX400) it really shows some fog when it expires, or even before that. Other films can be frozen forever.

Do Both!
Here's a thought: sign the petition and spend your money on the film. Let Fuji know that you are currently spending money to clear retailers shelves. If they don't know people are rallying to buy the film, they could well axe it at a time when there is a sales resurgence...
Multi-layered-strategy.

An excellent argument. Merely signing a petition is worthless. Buying the film (voting with real money) is a vastly better idea. Combining the two may indeed make them realize that not all the petition-signers are hopeless fantasists who buy two rolls a year.

Signed and I am about to order some rolls.
So - as I actually never shot this film - how do you guys expose and develop it? I would like to get some gentle (non pepper like) grain and nice tones.

For that, I would use XTOL 1:1 at the chart specified time. Me? I like to abuse it: I do XTOL 1:2 for 20 minutes, agitation every fifth minute. But the former will give you pretty normal contrast with a diet grain pattern; very respectable. No Rodinal.

I thought I would vote with my wallet by ordering some. So I went to the B&H website for a look. All Gone, apparently, as it's not listed.
Edit: Adorama didn't show it either.

Your at least 6 weeks too late, once it was discovered here that the film was on the way out almost all available stocks where bought up.
I managed to score 200 roll's.

Shot 3 rolls today, and some Neopan 400, and my last roll of Kodachrome...
But the more I look at my negs, the more convinced I am that all I really need to shoot is 2TMY in XTOL. That film does everything.
