A while back there was a big hoo haa about the demise of Neopan 1600. Well it seems to be available from several UK suppliers so whats going on? Not that I personally want some at the moment but I noticed a couple of places including Fuji direct are selling it.

This is as definitive as I've seen:

Fuji Japan suggests Neopan 400 as a replacement. If it was just a packaging cut (no more single rolls or something) then I would think they would have suggested a different packaging of the same film as a replacement, i.e. a 5-pack or something.
I trust Fuji Japan more than UK or USA. It seems as if there's not great communication between the different branches in terms of film status.

Take that, Fuji!
Take that, Fuji!
I will punish them by not buying an X100. I would not like being limited to just one focal length anyway. D 300, D700, D-Lux 3, D-Lux 4, M8.2 for me.

More or less a death rattle, just stock that was hiding here and there. Otherwise, it's gone. I'm hanging onto my 4 remaining rolls for a special occasion (maybe shoot them in Europe or Asia, but certainly not in my boring town). They'll stay frozen until then. Otherwise, I'll be watching ebay for someone to dump off their expired or unwanted film.

... likes film again.
It is gone and sold out long time (at least here in Japan). I still have some in the freezer and will use that from time to time ...

I'd be careful of expired N 1600.... it can shed speed like you would not believe.

N1600 is Natura 1600, C-41 color-print film von Fuji. Neopan Superpresto is 1600PR.

Yep, its sold out in Japan, and buyers are paying up to twice what it sold for originally to buy any that gets listed in the local auctions. I've already sold 40 rolls (for a nice profit) and have 10 rolls left to sell![]()
Man I should have you sell my 100 rolls!
