Say it isn't so.....

My wife just returned from Japan, where she nicely went on a film buying spree at Yodabashi Camera in Shinjuku, my usual location to pick up film. On the list was 20 rolls of 120 format Neopan 400. Not only did this temple of film not have any in stock - but the sales person told her it was no longer being made - offering Tri-X instead. I am not sure if he meant gone for good, or if production difficulties given the situation in Japan makes for a temporary shortage.

Has anyone heard anything on this?

Thanks all
David

Surely... Fuji can't stop making Neopan 400? What else will be left?

EDIT: Seems like Neopan 400 in 120 format going away is old news. Super sad, how long will it take them to discontinue the 135 version?

I take it you didn't get the memo 😉

Neopan 400 in 120 size was discontinued a while back. Neopan 400 in 135 size is still available.

Hmmmm...

Hmmmm...

Thanks for that - I did not get the memo. That doesn't make sense to me, as in 120 size it makes more sense than the 100ASA offering. Time to find all the rolls I can in Hong Kong and stash them away. After that, Kodak will get my business...

Cheers
David

400PR in 120 has a different base than 400PR in 135 and was discontinued in 120 because of environmental protection reasons ... (also from memory only)
