neopan400 curl

I kept a bunch of neopan400 since it was announced discontinued.

Recently developed a few rolls which was shot about 2 months ago and I realise that is was curling a lot more than i remember.

I am curious to know what was causing the curl,
- I kept the negative for too long in general ? (its expired in 2015)
- I kept the exposed negative for too long before I developed it ?

I just shot my first roll of Neopan 100: it was expired longer than your 400, but I did develop quickly. Assuming it is the same base (big assumption) I am having a problem with curl. It isn't the worst that I had, but I'm still waiting much longer for them to calm down.
