I've just returned from a lovely break at an all inclusive hotel in Nerja. I didn't think this kind of thing was really for me, but once I'd reconciled the fact that it wasn't a 'see the world' type holiday, more of a relaxation break, I really enjoyed it. The people at the hotel (Marinas http://www.marinasdenerja.com/) were all very friendly and the food was excellent especially considering the price. Unbelievably cheap.

That sad, in peak season I should think it would be a nightmare!

Here are some pictures! I was going for a 'high key' style. Normally I do everything in black and white.

Nice photos. It's good to see that you left the resort. People sometimes go to caribbean resorts and never leave the grounds for fear of crime.

Nice shots Ped, just don't tell me they were taken on a X100/S or T....I'm severely tempted by one as a pocket/holiday camera and your top pic reminds me of a sample pic I saw from the X100T...or was it on the X100 thread??

I did an 'all-inclusive' thing for some early spring sun one year with my wife, it was our first time and not really our kind of thing but it was so unbelievably cheap (so much so we just ate every meal out) it seemed daft not to. I'd agree, its all about the mindset...and the fact you can actually come and go as you please using it as just a base.

Thomas, you must have missed 'Spain' at the top - though for some people not leaving the hotel or hotel complex has very little to do with where they are and any perceived dangers. Fifty shades, a pool and continuous drinks seem to keep people strapped to their loungers 🙂

I could tell by the look on your face you were having a good time. Nothing like a nice little get-away. And you remembered to bring the camera. I think you did better than the brochure photos.

Yes, I saw it was Spain. Just happy he included more shots than the resort. Although some seemed to have disappeared. Oh well.

Very nice photos from the RD-1/28mm combo!
Had to go to Flickr to see them all as RFF is having trouble loading them in.

Thanks guys. Yes I 'replaced' some of the pictures with updated copies as I missed some dust spots on the small aperture ones, however that seems to have broken the links. I'll re-add them later!

Tags now fixed so you can see the pics again!!

They weren't taken with an X100 Simon although I'd like to try one. They are taken with my old Epson R-D1 and Voigtlander 28mm - a great combo that I tend to use for everything.
