I'm looking for a ND filter for my Agfa Apotar lens from a Ansco Speedex. I took the lens off the camera to use for a Instax Mini project, but shots in bright daylight are overexposing. Anyone have any thoughts for a solution? I was thinking of using step-up rings but I don't really know what to start with. Thanks a lot!

I've tried to find any filter for the same lens. I couldn't, I did find a pill bottle cap that snaps onto the lens. I suppose you could hollow it out and mount a small ND on that.

Interesting, I think I found a thread where you showed a picture of the bottle top. I'll have to see if I can scrounge one up (I'm not opposed to something DIY). I thought A30 filters or maybe even Series V push on filters would work. There aren't any neutral density ones though, but maybe I can glue a step up ring on one of those (assuming they do fit)? Does anyone know if that is the right starting point?

Or if you find a bottle cap, you could use a ND flash gel.

If the need is high you could also use a polarizer filter and experiment with that.

Actually thinking about it, if it is going to be permanent; get strobe gel ND and cut and double side Scotch tape it.
