On every photography forum I've ever been to, there's a "What've You Just Bought" thread, and yet in all my travels, I've never once seen a "What've You Just Sold" thread. Feel free to include length of service/reason for letting it go...
May this thread serve to restore balance to the Force, and as a reminder to those who suffer from GAS or dreaded Seller's Regret.

I don't recall ever selling anything. I have bought a few things with the idea I might, but never have. I have donated some things to charity, but that isn't what you are after. I don't normally buy things I don't intend to use. Well, think I am going to use anyway.

Sold my Summicron-C 40, CV 15mm LTM, and some spare audio gear. My CL body and Nikon 50/1.2 AIS are still listed in the classifieds, and some spare computer gear is listed on eBay and craigslist.
That said, I still want to ADD to the collection - looking for a Nikon 50mm AF-S lens for the F5, and then the big one - getting into 4x5. Speaking of which, off to the classifieds for a 'want to buy' posting....

Just sold this lens to a Rangefinder Forum member. It was part of a close up set that was put together many years ago. Included an M1 body-still for sale- a Visoflex II with bellows M and a fitted case for the kit. I had a pretty nice set of Nikkor lenses in LTM and this was the last one.

I've sold a house, and car before, but never have I sold a camera. I could use the space in my closet though.

One of the nicest Contax's that I've seen.
The Sonnars: the CZJ got a new rear triplet, and the Carl Zeiss got a new front element.
I sold a lot of gear to pay for the Leica M9. Canon LTM's, Leica M2, Leica IIIf and IIIa, Nikon F, and some lenses. It's scary how fast it builds up.
The 50mm F1.5 Sonnar with its new front element. Wide-Open on the M8 via Amedeo adapter.
The new element agreed with it, no change necessary to the shim.

Though I kind of regret selling these cameras, I've found that there's always another out there to fill the emptiness in my heart.
For instance, I sold the Contax and bought an OM-2n. Then I sold the OM-2n and bought a Kodak Retina IIIc that's almost perfect except for a light abrasion in the leather.
I'll be selling the Kodak as well I expect, in my endless quest to fulfill my fickle heart.
Oh, and I recently sold a very excellent F3 as well. Ouch!

I found that buying something and working on it to make it better fulfills my fickle heart.
I "upgrade" a lot, and cherry-pick. Sometimes I sell a "cherry-picked" lens or camera, only because it is too nice not to get more use.

Waiting to sell my 40/2 Rokkor (in classifieds) Other than that, nothing in the last while. Two years ago saw me sell most of my Nikon gear to survive while out of work.
