I've added a link to an image of a RF body cap.

They were not common, since most cameras were sold with lenses. The body caps are simple but elegant, a one piece metal stamping, they fit snugly, but are easy to remove.

In all my years of buying Nikon, I only bought a dozen or so, and frankly never used them, since I always carried cameras with lenses. Traded or sold them all, in recent years they became quite expensive.

There is one on eBay right now, but it comes with a S3 Olympic.😱

Years ago I bought one from Gandy (The Head Bartender here) and I use it with my Contax IIa. I should have bought two as they are very nice. Seems to me the price has gone up since they were discontinued.

I was cleaning up my camera room the other day and discovered that I had indeed bought two of the Voigtlander body caps 🙂 . Whew! Glad I did!

I saw this thread recently and knew I had a body cap for Nikon S body, but could remember where it was. I finally found it.

I have three of the original Nikon RF body caps and same of the Voigtlander ones. Just sayin'
