New 15/4.5 Owner! Issue, though?

Hey all,
very happy to report that as of lunch time today I am the proud owner of a CV 15/4.5 😀

I bought it for an upcoming drive across North America, and I think it will do quite nicely...

My only concern is illustrated below: The Leitz M-adapter it came with won't mount on my R3A so I used a spare Chinese one.
Mounted, the 'centerline' of the lens is.. er... Past center.
Given the huge DOF of this lens and the fact that I won't really be doing any super careful focusing with it, does anyone see an issue here?

Mine looks just like that and it works fine. I never thought it was an issue.

Stick a film through and see what you think.

Pretty common for Voigtlander LTM lenses. Won't affect focus at all.

Thanks guys. I didn't think it'd be a problem at all, but it always feels nice to 'hear' other people say it.
Now, if I can just get through the workday and get a test roll through!

Just remember to hold the camera level. If you point it up or down the distortion of vertical and horizontal lines (such as in buildings) is greatly exaggerated.

I have the same lens plus a few Canons that do the same thing. I heard that the reason was that "if" the lens was not perfectly square you could still see the center spot.

Hmm ...mine work just fine.

The LTM version of the CV 15/4.5 has an adjustment for that. If you undo the 4 Phillips-head screws which hold the mount plate on to the lens body you will find underneath that there are several sets of screw holes on the lens body so that you can change the position of the lens with regard to the top. Mine was a bit off when I bought it, even directly in a Bessa LTM body. Apart from the aesthetic appearance, I was concerned (probably needlessly) that the built-in lens hood might impinge on the image area if it wasn't straight. After I found out that I could do this adjustment it is now dead straight on all except a couple of Chinese M-mount adapters I have. The genuine CV M-mount adapters I have are OK.

By the way... which camera level do you have?

I've taken a look to cosina "spirit level" at cameraquest, but since the double hot shoe is discontinued and sold out, ¿is it possible to use a viewfinder and and a camera level simultaneously?

I have a real CV double shoe (took me a year of eBay to get it) but eBay does have a $30 plastic thing that may work in the mean time. Search "Double Shoe" in cameras and you should see it. Not as nice but what the heck!

I suppose you could buy a small spirit level and just double-sided tape it to the camera
