I thought 620 was discontinued by Kodak in 1995 or so. I know that some folks are selling 120 film that is re-rolled on 620 spools, or modifying the 120 spools to fit 620 cameras, but I saw an ebay offering for 620-size T0-Max 400 film that is exiry dated 2010. Could that date from 1995, or is 620 still being offered on the Australian/Pacific market?

I'm not exactly a believer either... that's why I was asking! This seller has several emulsions offered in 620 (something I just noticed) so I suspect you are correct about them being re-rolled. The pictures of the boxes he is using look like "the real thing", and the listings are annotated that the boxes are for illustration purposes only. Nonetheless, several sales have been finished with the 620 selling for about 20 Aussie Dollars each... and the buyers seem to be OK with that.

Thanks, Wayne. I saw that posted (here?) a few days ago. $1.50 over hte cost of the film isn't a bad deal! I'm going to try to save some money and trim the 120 spools myself with a fingernail clipper. Hopefully that will work just as well!

The box is obviously a photoshopped phantasy. The film, unfortunately, is a bit of a pig-in-a-poke.

When asked directly, here is the response received from the seller:

I presume the 620 is rerolled 120 as they seem to be a bit of a cottage industry - supplies are sporadic and they don't have mass production packaging.
I can't tell you about the nature of the spools as I haven't actually seen them - I don't shoot 620 myself so I've never opened one to look - all rolls have gone directly to buyers.
I've always presumed the supplier has a secret source of newly manufactured 620 spools I would love to get my hands on, but I can give you no definite answer.
Should you decide to buy a few rolls feel free to let me know as I would really love to know all about the spooling - unfortunately the rolls are a bit expensive and hard to come by so I haven't destroyed one to satisfy my curiosity."
