Got the new Freestyle catalog yesterday and saw that ADOX's new MCP310 (glossy) is available with 100 sheets of 8x10 going for around $50.

I have and use (but almost gone) Agfa's MCP312 (semi-mat) and I love this paper - its ridiculously fast - like ISO160 at #2.5 filter.

I will be bulking up on this new ADOX stuff, but I was wondering if anybody has used it yet and how it compares to the old Agfa MCP310 or MCP312 (its supposed to be the same formulation - probably coated on the same machine line)?

This is strange as Mirko of Fotoimpex (the guy who took up production of MCC/MCP) has stated several times that the production has been delayed. A while ago they estimated to be up and running by end of March, from what I can see now it is May.

I'm going to Fotoimpex in Berlin this weekend so I'll ask them then.

AFAIK these packages contain paper manufactured by Agfa. The new stuff is not on the market yet.
There are several threads over at apug where the new papers from Adox (MCP and MCC) are discussed extensively.

I talked to a guy at Fotoimpex last Friday and the latest information regarding the MCC/MCP 310 is "rather the end of the summer than the beginning". Apparently they had some coating problems that the technicians didn't understand. Let's hope they find a solution soon!
