Looks interesting but when I read through the DPR comments a few days ago, the KitSplit rep didn't really answer some of the tough questions about how they handle loss or damaged equipment, particularly non-obvious damage that isn't immediately evident.
On the one hand, it would be good to get revenue out of otherwise idle equipment. On the other, if it's at all mission critical for one's own work, the potential headaches might not be worth it.
Somewhat cynically, it's another social networking middleman example of someone making money from other people's capital. But hey, it's win, win, right?
