New Amedeo adapter opinion.

Amedeo,

I just purchased a Nikon S to Leica M adapter (the dedicated 50)

I was curious how difficult it would be to remove the focus tab/handle?

It's a great looking adapter but I'm new to your products and having just ordered can't look to the physical product.

A really great service you provide here!

Hello, you must remove the close distance limit screw, unscrew the helical, remove one small torx screw that keep the lever in position, screw the helical in the correct position ( it have 6 entry threads ) and screw the long stop screw.

I have the prototype of the Amedeo Nikon F-S adapter, and if this latest one is of the same high quality and has the same attention to detail as mine, it will be another winner.

Dear members, this is a prototype adapter for to use Zeiss 50mm rangefinder Contax lenses on Leica M bodies, but this time, the focus way and the pitch of the helical is the same of 50mm Leica Lenses.

The construction is similar of the 50mm Elmar model, have the lever with no lock mechanism and can be focused from 0,6 meters / 2 feet, I do not know if can be considered a macro adapter.

The lens lock mechanism is a novelty and never sight before, is a spring loaded half cam, must be rotated around 30 degrees by mean of a small lever when mount and remove the lens.

Amedeo Muscelli

Sorry to say, But the last I heard, Amedeo had given up his operation in Venezuela and moved out of the country due to the turmoil there and is no longer making adapters.

I've been in communication with Amedeo recently. Long story short, he's still in Venezuela and still making adapters. Check eBay for Amedeo Adapters and you'll see what he currently has. He's pretty quick to reply through eBay.

He is in the USA, but he has someone in Venezuela continuing making adapters for him with his machines and under his (long distance) supervision), Amedeo once told me. Maybe my news are "old".

I just sent him an email, and it bounced as unacceptable.

I guess I assumed he's in Venezuela since the adapter is coming from there. Again, I communicated with him through eBay as recent as the 24th this month.

Thank you Stephen. I just added the Zeiss Contax to Leica M adapter to my wish list. I'd love to try my 50, 85 and 135 CZ Sonnars on my digital M.

The handle actually serves the purpose of levering the lens/adapter into the camera's bayonet and out; otherwise, you have to grab it by the lens. For this reason, I found the dedicated 50 to be more fun than the dual mount version (also because the dedicated 50 focus in the "right" direction for Leica).

Greetings dear members, I has moved to Miami, FL in the United States in 2016 where have a CNC shop for to cut panels for kitchen and closet makers, I virtually have lost all my properties in my country, can't sell them, everybody is selling and running out, so I am starting over here.

I still keep my shop working in Venezuela, for two years I have trained a very capable CNC machinist for to make the adapters for me, hope to keep the production there a couple of years before to move the production here.

Regards,

Amedeo Muscelli

Amedeo, sorry but not surprised to hear of the upheaval, best of luck from me too.

I bought one of your earlier adapters and feel that new one calling me now....

Hi Amedeo, are you still producing these adapters? I looked on eBay, but nothing being sold by you, and I prefer to buy new, and not wait for a used one to pop up.

Thanks!
