Hello, everybody.

I'm Mark and I use an M6ttl with a 50 Summicron and a couple of CV lenses (oh the shame). My Pentax K gear now just lies around the house complaining of neglect., but since I started using a rangefinder I've never looked back. I do have some galleries here if anyone's interested.

Regards,

Mark Bowerman

I know this feeling. Can't wait until I'm that old(er) guy driving around in a Porsche. :p

Welcome Mark!

Welcome Mark! No shame in using CV, I use a 35mm/f2.5 pancake on my M6TTL and its an awesome combo! :)

Hey Mark

Welcome, and thanks for sharing your pictures. The files do look really good - do you scan the negs, or print in the darkroom and scan the prints?

If you like a curry and a pint of London Pride after a good shoot, then you should consider joining the UK chapter... http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5421&page=1&pp=20

By the way, I'm still too young to afford a Leica (body or lens)... have to make do with my lowly Bessa and Zorki ;-)

Cheers

Vincent

newbie question from someone in the same siituation:

I have a beavy of cameras, 2 Contax 35mm and 645, A Mamiya RZ and 7II (love that camera) and just got a Leica M7 with 50/1.4 and 90/2.0. Its a great outfit. I love it. I don't use my other 35mm anymore.

What does CV stand for in lenses? Keep seeing it but don't know what it means.

Thanks.

Thanks to everybody for the warm welcome.

Joe,
you could try shooting HP5 to just make everything look like England :)

Vincent,
the London shoot looked like fun and as a native West London boy I couldn't say no to a pint of Pride now, could I?
As for scanning, the UK and Umbria galleries were scanned from negatives (Canon FS2710 using Vuescan), but now I have a darkroom by the time I've printed everything scanning the negs seems like doing it all over again. The NZ gallery contains scanned prints hence the paper and toner details. I find using a flatbed MUCH quicker and simpler. This is not to mention the fact that I've become a darkroom addict and in fact, have just emerged blinking to write this.

If anyone is in London of a weekend, I'm the short, bespectacled middle aged guy with the black ttl covered in insulating tape.

Regards,

Mark
