Canada, eh.
For me, it looks like a Lumix LZ5. I like the image stabilization and low light sensitivity this line of cameras offers. I need a competent digi cam to take photos of my classic RF gear. 🙂

It's all Peter_C's fault!

i almost bought kim's canon vi-l yesterday, it was very close.

but then i found myself looking at an m2, an m3 and that m4-2 and my head started to spin.
and when it cleared up, i started thinking about the zm 50/1.5 and then the zm 21/4.5 and it started to spin again.

i settled on another wrist strap and a long strap from luigi.

I had an interesting chat with my dad over the thanksgiving holiday; for about the third time now he asked me if I had seen any of the new digital SLRs that are out there now...he's not in the market--just got a mid level Canon P&S camera for himself--I've gotten the feeling that he's trying to subtly see which one I might want. Dad is usually more direct, though. 😕
I explained, again, that my interests don't lay in that direction and turned the conversation to my desire/plan for getting a Leica and that I'm saving my nickels and will be seriously shopping for one in the late spring or early summer next year. If I am very fortunate indeed, I won't have to wait that long and I'll have some $ saved to use for something else. But I'm still saving my money so I can get one for myself.

For me, it would be a chrome Leica M4-P. I have no right to seek another camera, none at all, as I am lucky to have a wonderful collection to use and enjoy. But given the question, that's what I'd like (and if it comes up by my birthday next week, all the better).

Low light performance on Panasonic Lumix? Really. Shoot in Raw and its ok but the noise reduction on the newest high pioxel models is pretty dreadful. The Fujis seem to have best low light performance

nothing beats a DSLR to take product shots..

Even an old Canon D30 + cheap prime will be better than this Panasonic you speak of for this purpose.

My good lady, Cathy, has risen to the occasion again. Just an r3a (that will come as a surprise) took me ages to pick up all the m8 hints I’ve been dropping for the last six months.

Frank, may I say that if I were buying a digicam wich I won't the lumix LX2 would be my choice. I just happen to like the all black lens, it looks quite good and will sure deliver nice shots of your rf gear 🙂

No new cameras for me. Maybe a friend or family member is going to surprise me, but my present to myself will be the IIIc CLA in the new year.

After seeing the results of a roll of impromptu nude/semi-nude shots of a friend of mine today, I'm definitely happy with the Contax II. I won't be needing any other cameras for a long time.

Maybe a studio for christmas 😀

Hum how come none of my friends ( the cute ones anyway) will pose semi nude for me? must be the drool when I ask.

Hah!

Well I think it has to do with that she's a lesbian, and comes from a family of nudists. Being naked is no biggy for her. 😉

I won't have any 'public' photo's from that set... well maybe one or two after discussing with her. Maybe have to wait til we have the studio at her uni to use for some better shots.

Come to think of it, I want a studio for christmas, but I'd much prefer a large supply of film and chemistry 😀
Oh, I'm also out of Ilford 5x7 RC II.. gotta check prices on that!
