New Chinese Rangefinder Cameras!

i tried emailing binocular.com and phenix.com and still awaiting their respective replies. holga, lomo, etc. maybe fun, but i'd rather buy a p&s camera instead. no pun to the users! this is just if i were given a choice. ;)

Why not use the Holga as well as a P&S? They're not mutually exclusive. :)

Jocko, if the price for let's say 100 cameras is good, we could suggest RFF to get 100 or so, have them engraved as RFF member's cameras (possibly by the manufacturer) and sell them making some (reasonable ) profit.
I would buy a LTM RFF camera!

fgianni, I was thinking along very similar lines - it's a tempting idea, isn't it!! As for criticism of "chinese junk" - I simply look at these as interesting, potentially enjoyable cameras.

Also, surely all knowledgable photographers once laughed their heads off at "Japanese Cameras"? And... er, aren't most "Japanese cameras" actually made in China? :D

still no reply re price :(

Jocko, any news on the price?

Not a word! Always the optimist, I'll have another go! :D

I'll post the prices the moment I get them! If ever!

My personal best photos have come from two cameras that cost a combined total of around US$50, a Lubitel 166U and an Olympus Trip 35. It makes me wonder sometimes why I keep spending money on expensive cameras... I wouldn't mind playing with a Yasuhara if the price is right, I just might find another winner.

hi jocko,

not a reply on my inbox as well. hope i could get the price soon. a friend of mine is in china and would be back here in the philippines for the holidays...chinese new year. i hope he could bring back the camera with him. :p
