Just excited to let you know, I just received a 1932/33 camera set:
Leica III, black & nickel
50mm Summar, black rim, nickel
35mm Elmar, nickel + original black front and rear caps
90mm Elmar, black & nickel + original black lens cap
VIDOM viewfinder, black & nickel
FISON hood, black

Love the fact that they're all black and nickel. The Summer black rim is the earliest version, I believe and rather uncommon.

The whole set is quite dirty, 85 years of cigarette smoke and hand grease leave their imprint. Surprisingly, the camera speeds sound OK, even the slow ones. The glass of the lenses is OK, but they could use a good cleanup.

Anybody have info on how to open the 90 Elmar to clean the aperture setting and the inner surfaces?

I'll show pictures later.

I think I followed this instructions when I cleaned mine:

http://kameraking.blogspot.mx/2012/10/leica-90mm-elmar-service.html

Front element glass was a real pain to remove, too damnx tight :). I used paper masking tape around the rim, a piece of rubber (I think it was a piece of bycicle wheel tube) and lot of effort. Cleaned the glass and the lens was good as new.

Hope you enjoy. I have more or less the same kit (pre war 35, 50 & 90 elmar) that I use regularly on my iiib, iiif or iiig.

Regards.

Nice kit :) am having quite similar. Some wide to fit the vintage would be nice. Either also 35mm Elmar or the 28mm, forgot the name but it had small widest aperture (6.3?).

Congratulations Huub on a beautiful new set :) - I've always liked the look of black/nickel, but settled for chrome.
(turns green with envy)
