After reading much praise of this lens from RFF members, I recently acquired a CV 28/3.5 Skopar, and took it for a spin at the San Jose Flea Market this past weekend. I really like this lens, and can't wait to try it w/ b&W film. Here are a few pix -- still feeling my way w/ this focal length. Comments & criticisms welcome. Incidently, I used my Canon 7 b/c I don't have an external finder yet. I used the entire viewfinder window to frame -- it almost covers the whole scene, and seemed to be good enough for fast street shooting.

Yep, the 7 & a 28 is a good combo. I used to use my Canon 28/3.5 the same way. There really isn't that much difference in the whole VF & what an external will show. Just pick up an SLR, slap a 28 on it & look at what you can see...
As far as my eyes were concerned, I've yet to buy a 28 finder ...

Good for you. The first and second pictures show what happens when the camera is aimed downwards from the horizontal. In time you will learn to bend your knees a little.

Thanks. I will try this. I'm 6'1" tall, so bending the camera down from horizontal often happens w/out thinking about it.
