I agree with the Nikon prediction and have said it all along ....
Because they have THE sensor.
Because they have THE sensor.

Prototypes have been seen around Tokyo, so something is afoot!

If Nikon did introduce one based on the D3/D700 sensor at a D700 price...that would be the kiss of death for Leica.

The "M" mount is always the 800 pound gorilla in the room.

i'm starting to save my pennies now... if no dRF materialiizes the money will go towards a D700 to replace my D200 in the next few months...

The idea excites me, but until I see some real hard proof that such a camera exists (or will exist), I won't hold my breath.

Wouldn't it be more likely that they use a 1.5x sensor?

Who cares what they stick in it, if it looks like the new SP people will fall over themselves to get one.

If Nikon is going to market a dRF, why would they want to cripple it with an M mount. I would suspect it would be something completely new.

I'd still rather have the Fuji folder.

You're not going to let a little thing like that ruin the party, are you?

M mount would make sense, so many legacy lenses. But Nikon could always update the mount, they did it several times for the F-mount as well...
Oh, it goes without saying that I'd sell my granny to own one.
