If Nikon did introduce one based on the D3/D700 sensor at a D700 price...that would be the kiss of death for Leica.

The idea excites me, but until I see some real hard proof that such a camera exists (or will exist), I won't hold my breath.
 
If Nikon is going to market a dRF, why would they want to cripple it with an M mount. I would suspect it would be something completely new.
 
M mount would make sense, so many legacy lenses. But Nikon could always update the mount, they did it several times for the F-mount as well...

Oh, it goes without saying that I'd sell my granny to own one.
