New ebay scam?

Well, I got an email today that was supposedly sent using ebays "contact member" system. I clicked it, not knowing what it was, and it had a weird message saying that he received the baseball cards I sold him but one was bent up and he wanted a refund for that one. It had an item number and everything else to make it look legit. I didn't click anything, though, as my assumption was if you were to click anything it would take you to a fake ebay page where they'd phish your password. Not really sure if this is a new variation on the scam or what, but I figured I'd give everyone a heads up.

If you go to "My Ebay" you should see the same message in your message box. If you don't, the e-mail was a phishing e-mail and you did well to ignore it. If you do see the same message, check your items sold etc., because sometimes accounts in good standing get hijacked.

Nope, the message isn't there. It was definitely a fake. It seems like a good scam, as I'm sure many people will try to respond to it to say they never sold anything and that they have the wrong guy.
