Got like 3 Zorkis (Zorki 1) and I really find myself using Jupiter 12 a lot with them.

Been wondering how hard it would be to change the Zorki viewfinder so it would work like a 35mm viewfinder (instead of the default 50mm). I already got some external viewfinders (turret, turnip from Voighlander, etc.) but I would like to be able to use 35mm lenses without an external viewfinder.

I've done CLA to my zorki's, shutter adjustments, etc.

Any thoughts about this? Anyone done this? Viewfinder crystal sources?

Thanks for the input

Marcelo.

First you'd have to find a camera with a 35mm field of view. There were several early model P&S cameras that had 35mm lenses (Canon, Nikon, Olympus, etc.), so you could scavenge the finder from one of them. Then all you have to do is find a way to make it fit the limited space you have inside the Z-1 finder hump. You may have to raise the top a bit to fit the front viewfinder lens.

I also have a Zorki C model, which have a taller hump than regular zorki. Think it would serve better for the purpose?
