New G1 and G2 owner

I picked up a TLA360 last fall, and it has performed wonderfully with the G2. I purchased it for my Contax 645, but it works just fine one the G2. It's huge on top of it, however, but the bounce/tilt works like a charm. Less red-eye than with the TLA 200 that I have, but 1/3rd of a fuji film canister taped to the front of my TLA200 helps reduce that. Makes for a nice cheap diffuser that even fits in the little leather case.

I used to have a G1 with the 45 and 35mm lenses (my favorite was the 35mm). I loved it to bits! :) But when the Leicas came into the household I simply stopped using it... and sold it. Sometimes I regret it, but then... I did enjoy using it while I had it. Sometimes I wish I still had them... the body was titanium and quite tough, but a lot of fun to use.

BTW, the TL140 is the best flash... and it synchronizes at almost all speeds! :)

I'm happy that people still love film. My G2s (3) and lenses (16, 21, 28, 35, 45 & 90) were the love of my life for quite a few delightful years. Now, I can't live without digital. I also can't see them sitting idle, so they're going on the market in the next week or so. Good people still like using them and appreciate their quality.

I do not think I will sell mine next time, sometimes I use film, sometimes digital, just for fun of using special cameras

I just this week picked up my second g2 along with another 45/2.0. Been getting rid of my Digital stuff. Film costs a little more but it is so much better. Back in the 90's and early 20's I shot a lot of film. Came back to it last year think I will stay this time. So far 2 g's ,a 28,2 45's and a 90. Of course flashes. This latest body is as new as you will ever find.

Just a quick post to say that I finally made the plunge and the postman arrived today bearing a G1, G2 with the 21, 48, 45, and 90.

....]

2 bodies and 4 lenses as a starter kit! Don' t do things by halves do you mate? ;) Bewdy!

Congrats on home souping your film too.

I love my Gs and particularly the way the G1 just seems to exude quality but be so "right" ergonomically. Though the G2 rear focusing button is the bees knees.

happy shooting - I look forward to seeing some of the wide brown land out there as captured by that 21mm
