New Gallery - Thumbnail size

Maximize the number of thumbnails to be seen, I'd lose that random larger picture at the top of the page. Allow me to choose what image I want to see. I dislike programming that tries to think for the user.

I agree with that as well - another consideration with the random images at the top of the gallery page is that there have been a couple that were borderline NSFW, which isn't great if you're browsing the gallery at lunchtime in an open plan office and something "interesting" pops up 😱.

I would reduce the 25 number that a member can post in an hour back to the 5 a day - too many photos and fewer will be looked at in a given time - but this is another observation and not on topic!

I did like having 5 thumbnails per row in the old Gallery. I don't think it's a bad thing for thumbnails to be small. In fact, it perhaps makes the pics more likely to be viewed since you have to click on them to really see what's happening. In the new Gallery I find myself opening fewer photos as the thumbnail is just about large enough to feel like I've "seen" the picture. Also, perhaps this isn't the thread for it, but any way to make the tabs next to our individual photos not a vivid blue? The tabs compete with the photo.
