Most of my shooting is done out of the window of a tractor/trailer, which I guess is reportage. Occasionally I do get to use my own two feet.

Can someone define "reportage," as opposed to "street?"

I can't define reportage, but I can say how it differs from street in some ways. Reportage can be inside. Reportage can also be outside, but in a public or private place other than a roadway or sidewalk, as well as in the street.

reportage is tied to what is newsworthy, while street photography isn't. not really a style, rather a product.

IMO reportage tells a story - traditionally with captions as well. The pictures may also by connected by the story. Street to me is causal observation, without any thread. Just my view, of course...
