Got my GSN today, rushed out all excited and got a battery. Short story shorter, it's dead as a door nail. I listened for the right cocking sound, even downloaded a sound file and mine sounds just like that. When I push the bat. check button nothing, the over and under lights don't work and the shutter only fires at the fast speed. Oh woa as me.

That's too bad. I love my 2 GSNS but I have difficulty with their viewfinders. My eyes are failing me.

I'm going to send it to the G'Man, I ran a continuity test from the negative spring in the batt compartment to the 2 white wires on the PCB under the batt test panel and zip, nothing, no continuity.

Thanks. I'm slowly getting this. Isn't there also a member who goes by G-man? Forgive me.

There is Frank, I haven't seen him but I've seen others mention it. I see you're a Bessa guy also.

Yes. I bought a R3A from Camera Quest not too long ago. I will be buying a second R3A body this week---unless there's an R4A in the works.
. I love the camera----actually, I love my 2 GSNs as well (but I have difficulty with their viewfinders).

Yeah, I still use film...
Hi Rover,
Have you ever seen Fairfield Hills in Newtown? Your MTS pix remind me of it. The buildings are really deteriorating, although they still seem to maintain the grounds. (The grass is cut) Attached are a couple of digital shots that I took last year.
It belongs to the town of Newtown now, and they auctioned off some of the former Doctor's residences last year. Some friends bought one and renovated it, but it has been on the market for almost 6 months with no offers. Could people be turned off by the history of the location? Makes you wonder...
