Hi everyone , some have seen my post but mainly in the FSU forum , Well I also just recieved 2 Canon QL-17 GIII's

I ran a roll of Fuji 100 in one and a roll of 200Gold in the other here are my results . I have never shot any rangfinders before new or old so this was quite the learning experiance, Again these are out of the box shots to see if the cameras were even going to function, I know the meter does not work in one of them .

I don't do street stuff or take shots of non breathing type of objects , mostly bugs and things with hair, hooves, paws that sort of thing . I must say these little cameras and their lens are quite good .

Here are the Fuji 100 shots

All the Engine Parts belong to the P51 Mustang

Impressive! Please, how do you scan them?
Thanks

Thanks Letien, well to be honest these are the first scans I have had done and I want say they were done by a pro shop . Walmart scanned them , not a high res scan just there standard med res type scan $2.47 per roll. I was pretty impressed by the quality, but here again I have nothing to compare to. The only reason for the scans were so I could share these with those interested . This rangefinder stuff is all new to me , I just received some cameras last week and was doing some test shots for function. I have never shot much film. I have a renewed interest in it , since my interest has decreased in digital. I never took film to the limit so to speak , only used nice cameras as pretty P&S. My photography didn't really start till 2003 when I got my Canon D30. I have been considering a scanner, and after seeing these I will be getting one for sure. I know this is more info then you asked for but it will help others know where I'm coming from when I ask more stupid questions. I'm very proficient in digital, but am a complete idiot when it come to film . The Walmart scans are 1meg to 700K in size depending on the busyness of the image. For what it's worth here is a 100% crop.

Well it looks like you've got two cracking lenses there.
Welcome to the world of RF photography, I was following your threads over in FSU, so it's nice to see some of your photography.

I used Walmart before but I change to Costco for better quality(?) but I not happy lately with the scan. I also have a Epson 4490 but rarely use it. Still, your picture look so good. I normally use 400 film, may be I must change to 100 film.

Tom,

Whoa, nothing wrong with rangefinders/film 😎

Check out a few captures I got with my week-old RD-1s: http://www.ocgarzaphotography.com/gallery2/v/EpsonRd-1Swork/.

P-51? Get the duct tape out and put it back together and fly down to Victoria so we can do some aerial shooting.

Keep clicking,

O.C.

Thanks O.C. I would love to get down that way sometime , its been a while. Your RD-1 shots look wonderful , have fun with that little beauty.

Tom
