Hello everyone.

I found this site by following a link posted by a member at another forum, and was very impressed with the relaxed atmosphere, and the quality of the posted work here. I am most interested in human subjects, and shoot with a wide range of cameras, over a wide range of formats, from 35mm through 8x10. I have a few favorite RFs, including my Olympus XA, a Polaroid packfilm RF, and a 4x5 Crown Graphic. My youngest son shoots a Canon GIII, and loves it. I shoot 99% black and white, but have been itching to shoot more color lately. I look forward to getting to know you, and to seeing more excellent work posted.

Welcome to the forum! Will be interesting to see some of your work. Sounds like its very diverse.

Dont let your son see this forum though, for it may cause major GAS attacks, and he would be longing for a whole range of Russian RFs and lenses or, god forbid, may be even Leicas. 🙂

Thank you for the warm welcome. My odd sleeping habits often have me conversing with those of you in the EU as often as my stateside countrymen. My last name is DeFehr, a germanization of the Dutch, DeVeere, so I would love to visit your parts of the world one day. I haven't quite figured out how to post to the gallery yet, so the quality average is still very high there. I'll do some damage when I figure it out. Thanks again.

Welcome Jay, most of the chances are you arrived Home.

Greetings from Jerusalem,

Thanks a lot, everyone.

When I figure out how to make a gallery, or post to one, I'll put up some of my work. I've posted one image in the darkroom forum, in the thread about sharpness. The only images I'll be able to post are the ones made with my Olympus XA, as I only have a 35mm film scanner, and it's the only 35mm RF I use. I'm completely fascinated with that little camera! Thanks again for the warm, international welcome.
