So lost my lens cap to my 40 nokton and found out its kind of a pain to replace. So looking at camera quests website I saw there was a small hood with metal cap for the 35/40 nokton. So upon looking for pictures I found none. So I thought I would show you all what this design looks like. If this is a repost than disregard. The benefit to this design vs the LH-6 hood is that this hood does not block the focus patch on a Leica CL! Now im kinda happy I lost my lens cap lol.

What thread size is the cap? 43mm? Could be useful for other lenses.

I have 5 of these .... use them on 35/40 Nokton, 35/1.8 and 50/1.4 LTM Nikkor, and sometimes on the E43 Summilux. You can buy from the head bartender (including the above CV cap), or similar hoods from heavystar.

Looks like the hood for the original 35 2.5 pancake. 43mm thread and Voigtlander push on cap fits. I used one the entire time I had my 40 1.4.

It is - but Stephen sells it separately. CV hood on the right, heavystar on the left:

Some of my heavystar hoods have slightly different sizes.
