They ask too much! Taking in account that you will have to carry that with you, I'd rather buy a true and accurate digital light meter that even offers spot metering.

Looks neat!
I'm participating in another one ... the Luxi ... at present. Just waiting for the product to arrive. The Luxi depends on the built in camera for its light sensing, I can see some advantages to the Lumu, depending upon the implementation.
Either is more convenient to carry, and a lot less expensive, than a Sekonic L358 or similar. A lot more limited too. ;-)

This one is a cool idea but way too expensive IMHO and too easy to lose. I can't tell you how many Square readers I've lost since the start of that.
The Luxi looks cool but looks like it does not take into account the fact that most of us have cases and are not going to remove the case to use the meter/diffuser.
Makes me wonder if one could just stick something over the camera with any metering app to diffuse the light a bit and get a proper reading.

Exactly. The whole point of using this would be specifically when you're NOT shooting photos with a smartphone camera. :bang:
Thanks for the tip. Agreed that it's a bit expensive, but glad someone is trying to solve the problem.

Great concept, way overpriced.

while it is a nice idea to have most advanced users with built in light meters in their camera know how to expose correctly. Furthermore i kinda miss the flash metering ability which is the only reason why i would use a light meter.

Having a very sensitive incident meter with an iPhone interface will be great. Just pledged
