I accepted an offer to work as a Systems Admin in Columbus GA, so i am mostly done with the Northeast. I will be back a few times in the next few months as i finish moving. Hope to see you folks once or twice...

Welcome south--and just a tip--Columbus is a little hot and humid this time of the year!
It is also a GREAT town! Lots of history there--used to be a major manufacturing area for textiles, and for heavy stuff for the Confederacy.
It's just beautiful along the river.
And Ft Benning is nearby if you get the urge to join the paratroopers or the Rangers...🙂

Neither. Rail is a hobby. I am working for a payment processing firm. I used to work for the folks who drive the STAR ATM network.

I will be looking for some decent rail to photograph though...

Al: all these years I assumed that being an iron horse person meant you worked for a railroad.

I tried to do a photo story about a short line railroad a few years ago. I had complete access and spent time riding in locomotives, hanging off the back of freight cars, and everything else. I even got to operate the train. But, it turned out to be so boring that I could not complete the series. I always though actually working on a train would be exciting but it was the opposite.

Anyway, best of luck in the new job. And I hope you find some interesting rail to photograph.
