Have you checked out KEH's new website? What do you think?
The old one wasn't exactly elegant to navigate, but this one I find very hard to use. I spent way too long trying to find lenses and/or bodies for an Olympus Pen film camera. All Oly equipment seems to be lumped together. On the old site I could just click the link for Olympus Pen film cameras.

I'm not a fan so far. What do you think?

Yep hated the new interface. I found the classic interface. U can get to the classic by scrolling to bottom left corner and double click.

I just tried searching for "Nikon 85mm 1.8" -> 1913 results. Winnowing that down by subcategory to just Nikon and prime lenses left me with 187 results. Of which the 300mm f/4 & 45mm f/2.8 GN non-AI were two typical search results.

It's just plain terrible.

It looks like they took their database, removed some tables, threw it at a template, and called it a day.

Okay it's not that bad, but I do prefer the old site.

I find it easy to navigate. In a couple of areas it takes a couple of extra clicks.

I also like how the cameras/lens are listed in alphabetical order.. Instead of searching the various categories you look in alphabetical order.. Makes it quicker for me..

I already e-mailed them to say:

"Sorry but new website is a big step backwards: Can you at least list the lenses in numerical focal length order i.e. NOT 16mm,18mm, 180mm, 21mm,24mm,280mm, 35mm !!
"

Yeah, I stumbled across it this evening, not a fan.

Found something even more disturbing when I called to talk with them about an item I was looking for. I'm in the market for a late serial number Nikon F3HP. KEH has listed that they have 11 Nikon F3HP cameras in stock, all in Excellent condition. I called specifically to find out what serial number range they had, looking for a high 19XXXXX or 20XXXXX. The gentleman told me he could tell me the serial numbers of the cameras, but I couldn't buy any specific serial numbered camera. I would have to buy one, and they would randomly send me one from their stock. I explained to him that an F3HP in excellent condition with a high serial number (like 19XXXXX) would be more valuable than one with a low serial number (like 14XXXXX), and also about fifteen years newer. He said 'too bad', I couldn't purchase a specific camera from their stock, I would just have to take my chances and take whichever one of the 11 cameras their warehouse person happened to pull when I paid for my order. I told them, "No Thanks."

Best,
-Tim

I was talking to one of the sales guys awhile back. He had informed me that KEH was under new management. I guess the new website is an indication of what the new owners want to c in terms of looks/layout.

People are still buying from web-site with very uninformative product pictures and descriptions topped by overpriced shipping cost?
I'm surprised.

It's been months since I looked at keh
Just visited the new site

Last time I looked there was very little of interest

They list a lot on ebay for the rarer stuff
In reality many items listed on ebay do not sell and are
Listed over and over again .
Keh will buy anything and they take anything back .

Honestly the new website makes it difficult to find older rangefinder gear
Correct me if you have figured it out
The old library list was good

I like the old interface. As far as the old look goes, I don't care. I go there to buy. As long as navigating, searching and purchasing is easy the look does matter.

Seems pretty simple to me. It looks like the key is to use the search field and then click a subcategory. That works very well for every search I tried. Just a different approach than the old menu drilldown, which always seemed dated to me.

Mouse over Purchase. Then click shop by format. Next digital and 35mm. 35mm bodies. In the left column click rangefinder cameras. In the left column you are presented with name brands. Pick your brand....
