New Konica RF

I purchased this nice Konica RF from Japan not too long ago. I'm amazed at how well this was cared for. I had the Thumbs-up which fit it perfectly! The Voigtlander 28 is perfect. Love shooting with it.

Yes nice, I had one for a short period. Wonder how you'll appreciate the viewfinder with the tiny lightmeter leds after you've been using it for a while.....

snagged this camera from Bill couple of weeks ago and loving it!
thumb grip helps alot, has a nice weight in it, love AEL up to 1/4000s and viewfinder is nice and clear, thinking of selling the M6 and just use the Hexar RF along my M3DS.

my 50mm summicron collapsible looks awesome in it too, just waiting for the leather case to arrive now.

I had one for a while and loved it. The only issue I had was the rangefinder kept going out of adjustment (not a problem as I could adjust it myself) until finally I wised up and put a drop of clear nail polish on the adjustment thingy and it held fine after that. In many ways it was a more capable camera than my M7 I bought it as a backup for. Enjoy!

Just recently got a Hexar RF myself and like it very much. Yet to develop my first roll, so hopefully the focus isn't off too badly, but I noticed it won't focus to infinity with at least one of my M lenses.

However, I couldn't find current instructions online on how to access and adjust the rangefinder. I found some threads including some on RFF but the illustrations are broken links and a picture or two would be worth a thousand words 😀

I gather the RF adjustment screw is under the little hatch/cover on the top plate. I just wasn't sure how to get *that* open safely... my Hexar RF is practically NOS condition, so I didn't want to mar up the finish prying at it. Anyone out there with a Hexar RF able to share a photo and tip or two on how to pop open the cover and adjust the infinity focus?

I always prefered the Hexar to the M7. To any Leica, actually.
It fits in the hand much better, the roundness, the slight bulge your fingers can rest on, etc. Wonderful little camera.

The first time I ever saw a Fuji X-Pro the only thing I liked about it was that it reminded me of my long departed Hexar RF. 🙂

It's funny .... people talk about the build quality and precise feel of a Leica. For me the Hexar RF really stood out in this area.

Not only did they make a very compact camera with great ergonomics and rangefinder ... they also managed to squeeze automatic film transport into it.

So do you *have* to open the entire top just to adjust the rangefinder? I thought the little plug on top comes out so you can adjust it easily without dismantling the top plate. 😕

Not for sure, it depends what exactly is out of line.

Through the little hole you can only access the screw of the RF prism element
(see this zoomed view http://www.rangefinderforum.com/rffgallery/showphoto.php?photoid=172381).
If you have to access other adjustment pieces you need to open the top plate.
