It wasn't a price hike really -- just a price adjustment in hard currency thanks to the frighteningly feeble dollar.
At the end of the Clinton era a euro cost a bit over 90 cents US.
When Dubbya's second term started: around $1.30. Last week I got $1.244. With one-third of my income in dollars I notice these things.
Have prices gone up 35%?
