New Lomogon 32mm 2.5 lens!

Variable aperture lens, with the apertures on a spinning wheel design thus every one of them is perfectly round. No aperture blades.
Weird and cool. Wonder how much dust gets into lenses like this (and my Petzval) and how to clean it out.

Is it waterhouse or waterhose? What is a waterhouse?

In any case, the aperture solution is an interesting one and the dust problem could probably have been mitigated by putting some sort of casing around it.
The bokeh looks bad even for a wide in the sample photos, despite perfectly round aperture.

I'm pretty sure there is no dust sealing. My Petzval with replaceable aperture inserts has none.
Lomography never posts decent examples of what their gear can do. They always post the 'lomo look' images that to be honest are created mostly in PP by cranking on contrast, saturation etc.

I did not find anything wrong in pictures, nor I find anything special, good over regular Canon 35 f2 EF lens.

Like a well seasoned old bacon greased long service cast iron skillet, the dust on the lens elements will give this Lomography type lens tons of character and lower contrast and a 19th century like patina to the bokeh in the images this lens makes, it is all good.

Yeah I could not see any special signature to the lens. And I'm sure that Canon etc are excellent.
It is interesting how the prices of lenses have sky rocketed. The Nikon 50 1.8G is about $250 I think (new), but the Nikon 50 1.8S for the Z cameras is $600

It is the only way to make money now, I guess.

This is EF 50 1.8 modern lens. 164USD.

Will works on R. Just like 50L works on R via adapter.
And 50L EF is 1350$ while 50L R (ugly and next to twice heavier) is 2050$.

And funny thing, 50L EF with EF-R adapter is as long as ugly and heavy 50L R.
