There's custom charge as well sadly, but I think I'll get the sekonic, found one for ~$80digitalintrigue said:The VC II is $174 at Cameraquest or Photo Village...that's only about £85 currently...
@ dreamandart: I think it's a Wetzlar, according to cameraquest at least, it's not marked ELC

Get the Gossen digisix, it is truly tiny and very accurate, mine goes w/ me everywhere I take a film rig. It also seems to be *very* good on batteries, I have had mine since May, have used it nearly daily since and it is still good.

KM, does your Digisix do what mine does? The shelf life of a battery is only a few months, even if it's only sitting in a drawer. Very annoying in an otherwise nice meter.

No, mine is still going fine since May, I use it a ton too.

My experience is similar to KM-25's, so perhaps you have a lemon. I can see how battery life might be run down if you were accidentally pushing the buttons a lot while it was in your pocket, etc., but that clearly wouldn't apply to sitting on a shelf. I've had a couple of Digisixes & a Digiflash & the batteries always lasted for about a year w/heavy use. Indeed, the main button on 2 of them broke down before the battery ran out, but that's a different QC issue.

I think Greg is right, Hans (trust him, he knows is stuff), there is also
8/26/1957 M3 ELC from 894001 to 984570 #pieces 570
ELC is not marked on the camera just recognizable via the large M3.
Congrats, this is quite rare.

Not to challenge Greg or Roland nor to rain on Hans' parade (heck, I'm hoping that what's been posted already is correct) but is everyone certain that Hans' M3 was made in Canada based simply on the larger engraved M3 on his camera? The reason I'm asking is because my M3 looks exactly the same and I've always wondered whether it was one of the made in Canada M3's I've read about. Anybody have any more definitive thoughts, comments or information?
Thanks,
Randy

I have the Gossen Digiflash and it is superb! Batteries have lasted a year and it is small. Read the directions as it does an amazing amount of functions! Will even tell you the ambient temperature and wake you up in the mornings!

I wonder if Greg or Tom A can comment. I compared to my M3s yesterday,
and am not really sure how big the M3 font has to be to make it Canadian ...
Roland.

Yeah the text looks exactly the same, now we only need some normal M3 to compare lol. BTW I love that skin (??) / cladding whatever on the 2nd cam, is it special edition or replaced later on ?
