I just received my M3 with ridgid 50mm cron. Shot a quick roll and am happy with the results. The crftmanship on this puppy is amazing and I like the gold patch. I'm in trouble now. I think it's time to increase the line of credit as I think I have been bitten by the L bug 🙂

He's also a Leica convert, Dave... and we understand the spiritual consequences of the L conversion! 🙂

Even more... we understand the financial consequences better! 🙂

After graduating from university, I got my first Leica. I recall how scared I was to become a member of Leica users and collectors, and this was the main reason why I would quickly resell any second Leica body I would get so that only the M3 remained my only Leica for many years, until the Leica bug bit me ... again. Enjoy the M3 and consider that it will retain its value, so keep on spending money!

welcome to RFF!

as the old saying goes.. "all roads lead to Leica".. or something like that

I started out my RF journey by purchasing a Yashica GSN, which was all the rage here about a year ago.. then decided to check out some alternatives and bought a Canonet.. picked up some deals on a few other 'cheap' rangefinders as well.. Vivitar, Minolta, etc

and then there was the day that I 'accidentally' won an auction for a Contax IIa, which gave me a taste of the good stuff.. within 4 months of that, I bought a Leica M3.. the other cameras get used on a semi-regular basis.. but it's definitely the Leica that I reach for when I want some 'quality RF' time.. so you were smart to go there straight away.. you saved a lot of time and money 🙂
