Just learned one very neat and useful new function on the M8.2 and that is when shooting on 'A' (aperture priority), one can see and set the exposure compensation whilst looking through the view finder by turn the back dial with the shutter half pressed, this new added function can save time because there is no need to take your eye from the finder to adjust the compensation.

Just like with my 40D. Very useful. I miss this feature on my M8. I they wanted they could add this feature to the normal M8 just with a firmware update.

How many hands do you need to simultaneously:

1. hold the camera;
2. half depress the shutter button; and then
3. access a scroll control on the same side of the body as the shutter release

I hope you are not focussing at the same time!!

Only works with the new M8.2.

To cmogi10, I'm sure you're right, but lots of people like me hardly reads the manual or descriptions find it useful.

I'm just a smartass...don't mind me.
I rarely use Aperture priority and when I do I have gotten good enough at shifting the aperture ring and locking the exposure and then shifting back to be able to adjust the exposure comp. I wouldn't mind having the M8.2 feature though just to make it even easier.
