So they can fix discreet mode. Why haven't they offered this for M9 and M9-P users yet? Very annoying. It's 9 months now we have had firmware 1.196 which is defective.

Hopefully Leica will likewise issue a FW update for the M9, M9-P & M-E.

Actually I would be happy if they had a fix allowing FW 1.176 to be loaded into later M9 bodies that otherwise reject older FW. Some are stuck with 1.196 once it is loaded.

If it's not broken don't fix it, in other words if you don't have trouble currently do not do any firmware upgrades.
I definitely will stay away from it.
