New NX11 owner :-)

Hi guys and gals.

I've just got a NX11 and looking for a bit of advice on what MF lenses to look out for to use with it and any recommendations for adapters would be great. I'd like to put together a nice set over time from wide to tele. Looking on ebay there are loads and it's difficult to know what to go for!

I must say I'm very impressed with this little camera. I've only had a play around the house but really pleased with what I'm seeing

One thing I can't find on the camera is how to set it up to shoot without a lens which I guess you need to do to use MF lenses. Anyone point me in the right direction?

I have an NX10 which is not dissimilar. I too am very impressed. I can highly recommend the 30mm f2 (45mm fov equivalent) and the 20mm f2.8 - pancake lenses with great optical quality and some character. The i function on the 20/2.8 is a stroke of genius.

Some Leica LTM lenses will fit - most Cosina/Voigtlander lenses will not, Canon lenses will. Otherwise, almost all SLR lenses can be adapted to fit. I have Pentax K and M42 adaptors.

I have the 20mm f2.8 and your right it does seem like a good bit of glass. I also have the 18-55 kit lens, I'm not a fan of zooms but it again looks good.
With you having the NX10, could you tell me if there is a setting for shooting without a lens? I hope there is as I've just won a Konica Hexanon AR 57mm f1.4! lol

Would be interested to see some images from this camera. There seems to be less info on it than the NEX and m-4/3 offerings.

Agree with you there Benjamin. I looked and looked but there is very little info on these cameras. I went for it because of the bigger sensor and viewfinder, also you can't beat the price these go for!
I'm hoping to do a couple of videos and try and put a bit more info out there if it turns out anything like as good as it seems.

Hello, I have recently purchased a Samsung NX11 body brand new boxed for £199 which comes with everything except the lens.I also bought the Samsung Pentax K to NX adapter and used with my Pentax Screw to K adapter I can use all the screw Takumar and Pentax K lenses on my NX11.The NX11 is a real bargain at current prices especially with the 14 meg. APS-C sensor,Amoled screen and built in EVF,and the build quality is excellent.I have, coming in the post, a Leica screw to NX adapter and hope to use some of my Canon LTM lenses on the NX.It will become my digital screw Leica and compared to what it would cost me buy a Leica M9,it's a drop in the ocean and the x1.5 lens magnification doesn't worry me as I rarely use wide angle lenses.
I hope to be using my Pentax 50mm f4 Pre-set Macro Takumar (1:1) on the NX11 in the field shortly and will post some shots in due course.
Hope other NX11 users will post on this forum.

Using a Samsung NX10, which is not particularly dissimilar from the NX11. It's a wonderful camera and probably the first camera that makes me not hate digital. I've adapted all sorts of lenses to it; mostly M42 and L39 lenses. It works really well with all of the ones I've tried. My only complaint is that the manual focus assist only provides 2X magnification. If it were up to me, they would do 4x, 7x. and 14x. But I can still usually nail the focus without too much problem. I've only really taken test images with it, but I'll try to post some up when I get home for those interested.
